Job Overview
The Training Coordinator is responsible for tracking all completed hourly trainings for the plant, as well as coordinate the administrative tasks required for all training initiatives. This role involves tracking learning and program progress to ensure compliance and audit readiness. This role plays an essential part in the administration of sections of the New Hire Experience from day one through year one.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all annual training to ensure audit readiness for hourly positions.
- Create and update SOPs, on-the-job training (OJT) guides, and procedural manuals.
- Coordinate the administrative details of the training program, including scheduling and tracking completion.
- Ensure compliance with all policies and work procedures in collaboration with the operations team.
- Facilitate and/or coordinate "Train the Trainer" classes to authorize internal trainers.
- Support supervisors in delivering tailored training to bridge performance gaps
- Conduct weekly check-ins with new hires to support onboarding and training progress.
- Partner with HR to deliver effective new-hire orientation and onboarding – pertinent to training.
- Maintain a high-visibility presence on the operations floor to provide real-time support.
- Work cross-functionally to verify completion of 30/60/90-day evaluations and OJT sign-offs.
- Assign trainers in coordination with management to ensure proper training is provided during evaluation period for new hires and existing employees.
- Research and create one-point lesson slides to address emerging training needs for hourly owners.
- Update existing Operations SOPs and instructional resources to reflect changing operational standards.
- Gather and evaluate feedback from employees and supervisors to identify and resolve training weaknesses.
- Partner with operations to present updated SOPs at shift meetings to ensure workforce-wide alignment.
- Conduct time studies as directed for positions to evaluate job classification and duties.
- Pursue continuous improvement by learning and proposing new training methods and techniques.
Required Education and Experience
Education: High School diploma or GED.
Experience: 1 year of training experience or relative experience.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Well demonstrated interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong time management skills.
Preferred Education and Experience
Program Design: Knowledge of training course design, implementation, and program writing.
Plant manufacturing operations experience.
