Job Overview
Great Lakes Cheese is seeking a FSQA Intern at our Manchester Plant located in Manchester, Tennessee. This position is a paid internship, starting in June and going through August of 2026.
Job Responsibilities
- Review historical data on quality metrics and product safety, and assist in analyzing and reporting findings
- Review Environmental Monitoring Program Master Swab Schedule
- Evaluate current Sanitary Indicatory Organism Testing methods.
- Review HACCP/Food Safety Plan(s).
Required Education and Experience
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Food Science, Agriculture, Chemistry, or a similar field of study.
- Year in school: Sophomore, Junior, or Senior.
- Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Must be legally authorized to work a company in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Undergraduate research experience.
- Technical Writing.
- Problem solving.
- Self-motivated with a high level of initiative, able to work well independently.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication, presentation, and team skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
