Job Overview

The Senior Analyst, Commercial FP&A plays a critical role in executing pricing strategy and financial performance across GLC’s commercial business; coordinating the evaluation and development of pricing initiatives, ensuring alignment with corporate profitability objectives. This position supports GLC’s commitment to integrity, ownership, continuous improvement, customer focus, and teamwork by delivering disciplined pricing decisions, actionable insights, and cross-functional collaboration that strengthens margin performance and long-term growth.

Job Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development of pricing strategy for major opportunities (including RFPs), balancing competitiveness with profitability. 
  • Execute all pricing proposals, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and accountability through system implementation.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate profitability, including cost-to-serve, price waterfalls, rebates, and freight. 
  • Conduct margin analysis to identify leakage and help implement corrective actions.
  • Support forecasting, AOP development, and variance analysis with accurate, transparent financial insights,. ensuring analytical outputs are reliable, auditable, and aligned with business realities.
  • Manage pricing and margin reporting, delivering clear, actionable insights to stakeholders. Translate complex data into concise recommendations that drive informed decision-making.
  • Measure and evaluate effectiveness of pricing, sales programs, and promotional initiatives.
  • Partner with cross-functional departments to enable aligned pricing decisions. 
  • Communicate customer and market feedback to leadership, supporting the development of pricing strategies. 
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance pricing efficiency, accuracy, and transparency. 
  • Contribute to development of pricing tools, processes, systems, and reporting capabilities.
  • Build technical knowledge across SAP, CPQ, Excel, and FP&A systems to support scalable solutions
  • Manage base price lists to ensure consistent, data-driven pricing decisions. Monitor pricing performance and EBITDA impact, proactively identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Generate and analyze price performance reports, summarizing and presenting key findings to internal stakeholders to facilitate the development of new strategies and/or tactics to improve performance.
  • Determine and periodically review customer segmentation and buying behavior classifications. 
  • Maintain appropriate documentation of pricing and pricing approvals.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance or related disciplines or High School Diploma and 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 2 years of experience in financial analysis, pricing, or P&L management.
  • Strong business acumen with effective decision-making and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to structure data and deliver actionable insights.
  • Experience managing projects in dynamic environments.
  • Process-oriented mindset with focus on improvement and scalability.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis, pricing, or P&L management.
  • Familiarity with pricing software such as SAP CPQ.
  • Previous experience in the cheese/dairy industry or other high fixed cost commodity manufacturing businesses.
  • Strong communication skills, able to build relationships with our GLC cross functional teams to maximize pricing effectiveness.
  • Robust analytical skills and ability to utilize computer systems and related tools, including SAP, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. 
  • Self-starting, proactive individual that is comfortable working independently and in teams. 
  • Keen sense of priorities and outspoken advocate of the bottom line.
  • SAP experience.

Working Conditions

• Occasional exposure to industrial operations including: temperature extremes from approximately 35ºF to 100ºF; noise levels in excess of 85 dB; moisture and moving machinery.
• Work is mainly performed in an office setting, with some time spent in a manufacturing environment
