Job Overview
This SAP Functional Analyst is responsible for Finance & Accounting functionality within SAP and associated applications and tools. They will gather business requirements and design, develop, implement, and support SAP (and bolt on) process solutions with a focus on finance & accounting functionality and profitability, along with and associated functions interfacing with these areas.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide business system analysis and process design expertise within the finance and accounting business functions, and turn requirements into system solutions
- In depth business understanding of the accounting and finance functions allowing you to provide hands on support for daily operations, month-end, year-end, and related processes.
- Perform SAP or other system configuration as required to support functional requirements.
- Develop detailed functional specifications and test plans.
- Work closely with ABAP and BW Developers or software solutions vendors as needed.
- Understanding of integration and relationship between SAP modules, especially as they relate to FICO & COPA.
- Manage and control implementation of changes without business interruption.
- Create documentation for business processes and train users on new processes, functionality, reports and transactions.
- Provide functional support and troubleshooting for FICO and Employee Central Payroll production issues.
- Participate and take a leading role including a project manager if necessary within area of expertise of assigned SAP modules.
- Lead internal and external teams during project within your area to achieve promised results.

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of IT experience in a corporate environment supporting SAP projects.
- Experience with SAP FICO and COPA
- Experience with Material Ledger & Inventory Costing
- Experience with SAP or other full lifecycle implementation.
Preferred Education and Experience
- In-depth understanding of SAP functional modules beyond FICO/COPA
- Knowing of BW as it relates to financial reporting
- Knowledge of SAP Treasury (specially Commodity Risk Management)
- Knowledge of PROS (specifically Sales Analytics)
- Knowledge of Bill Back processes and process/tool implementation (Vistex, Blacksmith)
- Valid Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
- PMP certification
- Ability to provide leadership, support, communication and direction.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, troubleshoot and problem solve beyond routine issues.
- Strong teamwork approach to problem solving with the ability to make sound, independent decisions based on functional expertise and experience.
Working Conditions
• Occasional exposure to industrial operations including: temperature extremes from approximately 35ºF to 100ºF; noise levels in excess of 85 dB; moisture and moving machinery.
• Work is performed in an office setting.
