Sales Analyst

The Sales Analyst will support our Sales team with reporting, forecasting, sales initiatives, and planning for future growth. The Analyst is responsible for assisting in delivering accurate and complete sales and reporting on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis for the business unit (BU). Ability to provide quantitative and qualitative analysis skills are required to be successful. The position will utilize Microsoft and other software platform tools to help drive business decisions.  Data sets that will be available vary between internal reports, syndicated databases, Ad-hoc reporting, and customer specific POS data.

RESPONSIBILITIES 
Analysis

•    Interact with business units to collect, understand, and compile historical sales reporting data
•    Support and guide business units with sales analytics and business intelligence tools to enable insights
•    Identify trends, seek out drivers of results, and tell the story of what’s happening through the reporting and analysis in the business unit
•    Review sales forecasting, budgeting, data validation and analysis with the guidance of the BU’s direction.
•    Ensure completeness and accuracy of data in a timely fashion.
•    Summarize, document, and present analysis findings
•    Present and share insights from data to all levels of an organization
•    Develop and elevate when there is an area to improve processes, such as system automation, to ensure longer term efficiencies
•    Partner with cross-functional departments, such as Finance, IT, and Supply Chain, to develop synergies and enable communications
•    Meet deadlines with accurate results in a fast-paced environment
•    Up to 10% travel required (if needed). 
Bid Management
•     Collaborate and assist in team-sell for customer bid management such as bid management analysis, bid document preparation, portal entry, etc.
Price Management 
•    Responsible for assisting with maintaining and communicating customer-pricing sheets (customer portal, customer pricelists, customer spreadsheets, etc.)
•    Assist with research and reporting as needed for customer deduction investigation, resolution and payment coordination

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS 
•    Associate degree in business, or relevant degree 
•    3 years’ or more work experience in an analytical position
•    Experience utilizing and working with large sets of data along with advanced analytical tool use.
•    Willing to work with a team of diverse backgrounds and skillsets in a collaborative environment
•    Highly motivated problem solver, self-starter, adaptable, critical thinker, with an innate curiosity, and a drive to understand data
•    Must be legally authorized to work for a company in the U.S. without sponsorship both now and in the future. (i.e. OPT/CPT)  

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
•    Food industry or CPG experience 
•    Proven success in Analytical data management.
•    High proficiency in Excel data reporting and analytical skills.
•    Experience using/building data visualization tools, such as Power BI and Tableau
•    Strong presentation skills and ability to build a sales story using Microsoft PowerPoint presentations
•    Time management and multitasking skills in order to handle multiple tasks and customer requests simultaneously 
•    Ability to make sound, independent decisions based on functional expertise and experience.

•    Work is performed in an office setting.
