Job Overview

The SAP Function Analyst is a hands on expert responsible for SAP Plant Maintenance projects and enhancements.  This may include gathering and interpreting business requirements, solution design, working with developers, implementation, and support of process and technology solutions with ECC and other business applications.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide business system analysis and process design expertise within the Plant Maintenance business function, turning requirements into system solutions.
  • Perform detailed analysis of complex business process requirements and provide appropriate system solutions; identify, interpret, validate and document customer requirements
  • Explain business rational for utilizing SAP PM functionalities, identify, evaluate, and propose alternatives software solutions if needed
  • Facilitate workshops to collect business requirements, identify gaps, issues and work around solutions
  • Perform SAP or other business application configuration as required to support functional requirements.
  • Providing application maintenance and support by means of timely response to user issues and requests.
  • Documenting current configuration and maintaining proper level of documentation for all changes including specifications and testing documentation.
  • Participating in testing activities including, but not limited to, creating test scenarios, cases and scripts, as well as executing unit testing, integration testing, regression testing and user acceptance testing.
  • Create training materials and deliver training to business partners on new processes, functionality, reports and transactions.
  • Create and maintain functional specifications.
  • Proactively identify and propose business process and/or system enhancements
  • Collaborating with other team members to design and deploy effective IT solutions
  • Ensuring stability and continuity in IT operations
  • Manage and control implementation of changes without business interruption.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or a related field 
  • 3+ years designing and configuring SAP PM modules
  • Experience with PM module configuration and customization
  • Experience in preparing training documentation, job aids and conducting super user and end user training

Preferred Education and Experience

  • 5 or more years designing and configuring SAP PM modules 
  • Excellent skills in configuring and customizing preventative & planned maintenance solutions, corrective maintenance solutions, repair and refurbishment solutions, resource management solutions, master data management scope, catalogs, kitting and content in PM module
  • Knowledge of the key integration points between the other SAP modules, with special focus on procurement for maintenance
  • Strong experience in Master data Management - material masters, equipment master, functional locations, maintenance BOM, measuring point, counters, notifications, task lists & maintenance planning and work centers 
  • Experience with parts automation solutions, such as parts towers, and integration of them to SAP
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems 
  • Experience with maintenance scheduling and integration to production schedules
  • Business experience within a Food/Beverage Manufacturing and Distribution environment, highly desired
  • SAP Material Management experience
  • SAP S/4HANA landscape upgrade experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Working Conditions

• Occasional exposure to industrial operations including: temperature extremes from approximately 35ºF to 100ºF; noise levels in excess of 85 dB; moisture and moving machinery.
• Work is performed in an office setting.
