Job Overview
The Procurement Data Analyst is responsible for managing and analyzing procurement data to provide actionable insights, optimize procurement strategies, and support decision-making. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, producing reports, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), and identifying trends to enhance procurement performance.
Job Responsibilities
- Collect and consolidate data from various sources, including suppliers, internal procurement systems (e.g., SAP, BW), and financial records.
- Ensuring that procurement data is organized and easily accessible for analysis, often working with systems like SAP and BW.
- Work closely with Demand Planning and Procurement teams to identify & escalate and forecast/consumption reviews.
- Regularly produce reports related to procurement performance, including spend analysis, supplier performance, and cost savings.
- Generate and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) like cost savings, supplier delivery performance, and contract compliance.
- Develop interactive dashboards that display procurement performance metrics for stakeholders.
- Identify trends in spending, supplier performance, and market conditions to provide actionable insights.
- Analyze procurement spending to identify opportunities for cost savings, supplier consolidation, or better contract terms.
- Evaluate supplier performance based on metrics like delivery time, quality, pricing, and compliance.
- Use data to identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks in the procurement process and suggest improvements.
- Analyze procurement patterns to identify areas where cost reductions or process optimizations can be achieved.
- Collaborate with procurement managers and other stakeholders to provide data-driven insights that support decision-making.
- Coordinate with cross functional departments and managers to ensure alignment of procurement strategies.
- Help predict future procurement needs by analyzing historical trends and forecasts.
- Use data to model different procurement strategies or scenarios, helping the organization assess potential risks and outcomes.
- Verify the accuracy and consistency of procurement data to avoid errors in reporting or decision-making.
- Support, execute and lead the Procurement team in business systems upgrades.

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Data Analytics or in another relevant degreed seeking program.
- 3 years or more of experience in procurement.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data analysis and reporting.
- Proficiency in procurement and data analysis tools such as SAP, BW, Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Ability to identify trends, provide insights, and recommend improvements in procurement strategies.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
- General experience with MS Project or other project tools.
- General experience managing MS SharePoint sites.
- Must be legally authorized to work for a company in the United States without sponsorship.

- Strong teamwork approach to problem solving with the ability to make sound, independent decisions based on functional expertise and experience.

- Manufacturing company experience
- Food industry experience
Working Conditions
• Occasional exposure to industrial operations including: temperature extremes from approximately 35ºF to 100ºF; noise levels in excess of 85 dB; moisture and moving machinery.
• Work is performed in an office setting.
