Job Overview

The Pricing Analyst will optimize, support and maintain the pricing processes, specifications and parameters. The analyst will gather market and internal data for pricing new and existing products.

Job Responsibilities

• Compile and summarize all information necessary for new and existing pricing opportunities.
• Assist in implementing systems and reporting improvements for measuring and monitoring pricing effectiveness and efficiency.
• Analyze product markets to determine the ceiling and floor prices of products.
• Assist in determining appropriate list prices, standard discounts and rebates and managing any restructuring, updating, communication and publication of price increases.
• Analyze the exception pricing process by recommending guidelines, authority levels and maintaining a disciplined and structured approach to exception pricing.
• Perform ongoing measurements and reporting on pricing effectiveness.
• Provide assistance for major corporate projects and project teams through research and reporting.
• Ensure information and data accuracy in order to assist in margin and pricing analysis.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Accounting or related field.
• 1 year of analyst and/or pricing experience or more.
• Extensive Microsoft Excel experience.
• Ability to summarize meaningful information from large data sets.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, troubleshoot and problem solve.
• Excellent communicator.
• Analytical and organized with relentless attention to detail.
• Ability to make decisions based on standard practices.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Previous experience in the cheese/dairy industry.
• General understanding of manufacturing processes.
• SAP experience.

Working Conditions

• Work is performed in an office setting.
• Occasional exposure to industrial operations including: temperature extremes from approximately 35ºF to 100ºF; noise levels in excess of 85 dB; moisture and moving machinery.
