Job Overview

Provides leadership & direction to achieve world-class facility uptime and productivity, utilizing cost-efficient maintenance techniques and strategies. Responsible for the implementation and management of Reliability Centered Maintenance program across the Enterprise. Sets the maintenance approach (Preventive, Conditions Based/Predictive, Proactive, and Reactive) to improve facility reliability, production performance, and maintenance processes. The Reliability Manager ensures site & network compliance with maintenance protocols. Works with suppliers, engineering, and maintenance personnel to set acceptance testing protocols & criteria, and to ensure asset maintainability. Collaborates across multiple functions and levels within the company..

Job Responsibilities

•Identify & implement metric systems that result in improved facility uptime performance, OEE, financial results, and mean time to repair (MTTR). Evaluate performance across the Enterprise and collaborate with site managers & maintenance teams on action plans.
•Drive downtime reduction efforts using root cause and failure mode & effects analysis (FMEA) that reduces cost and increases throughput.
•Perform asset evaluations and apply the most effective maintenance strategies. Responsible for ensuring site & network compliance to maintenance protocols.
•Identify & implement preventative, predictive & reliability maintenance programs, including crucial component reliability & work order management. Site visits, audits, continuous improvement work sessions are expected.
•Assists Maintenance Managers & Coordinators in determining trends in work order & repair history to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
•Drive network-wide initiatives for MRO spare parts purchasing/inventory programs, critical spares, and R&M budgets. Collaborate with the Procurement team on cost savings initiatives.
•Build collaborative working relationships with engineering, site maintenance, food safety, EHS, and operations management team members.
•Establish clear & consistent site acceptance testing (SAT) criteria with Engineering for smoothly transition newly installed & upgraded equipment to site maintenance teams.
•Create SOPs and job training aids for existing and new equipment in coordination with the Engineering team. 

Required Education and Experience

•A minimum of 4-years of maintenance or engineering experience and 2-5 years of supervisory experience.
•The ideal candidate will have experience in industries with strict food safety requirements (e.g., Dairy, Food, and Beverage industry).
•Demonstrated proficiency with computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)~SAP and ability to teach others this system.
•Demonstrated ability to analyze & summarize data, reach conclusions & create action plans to improve the process.
•Proven track record of leading projects involving mechanical, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic & HVAC equipment in accordance with diagrams, blueprints, operating manuals, or manufacturer's specifications.
•Experience with mechanical/electrical/process control system functions & the ability to determine the most efficient method of preventing & diagnose malfunctions.
•Knowledge of OSHA requirements to ensure machine operator safety.
•Strong time management and organizational skills.
•Basic computer hardware and software skills.
•Experience with Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
•Experience with shop floor data collection tools is preferred.
•Lean 5S training and experience preferred.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience with shop floor data collection tools. 
  • Experience in industries with strict food safety requirements (e.g., Dairy, Food, and Beverage industry). 
  • Lean 5S training and experience. 
  • PMP certification.
     

Working Conditions

• Work is mainly performed in an office setting, with some time spent in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to constantly stand/walk; bend/flex/extend neck; frequently grip/reach/lift/pull with L/R hands.
• Must be able to evaluate conditions and behaviors by periodically walking through the plant. Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, and work at heights.
