Position: Manager, IT Technical Applications, Great Lakes Cheese Co. Inc., Hiram, OH.
Duties: Lead, coach, mentor, develop, and manage day-to-day aspects the technical analyst team of 5+ professionals. Actively participate in the evaluation and prioritization of proposed systems projects, resource estimation and participants needed to achieve the proposed solution. Work closely with the manager, peers, and business functions to realize the IT strategy in support of overall business strategy and goals Work with other IT leaders to deploy software development resources to support project and support requirements. With consultation with your manager to assign technical analyst team members project roles as needed. Ensure IT change management processes and systems are fully utilized to meet best practice design and audit requirements. Ensure through various means and techniques a 100% uptime on productive SAP environments. Manage SAP systems and perform BASIS administration support activities. Maintain effective system maintenance procedures to ensure smooth, uninterrupted, high performance system operation. Define and develop SAP administration standards, system installation and upgrade procedures, and checklists. Manage system performance, ensuring all systems are at optimal performance. Collaborate with other IT leaders and technical resources within the IT group (Hardware, OS, development, functional etc.) to ensure high performance system operation. Ensure SAP components, related technologies and software upgrades are effectively installed as required and approved to ensure security and reliability of the SAP environment. Work closely with SAP concerning OSS connection activities, SAP Notes and patches, and heir possible impact to the productive system. Stay current on SAP trends and advances, understanding their applicability to GLC and incorporating them into plans for GLC. Manage the change control process between SAP non-productive & productive environments. Maintain SAP security policies and procedures and documentation of role design, maintenance and user administration; provide security solutions that facilitate business operations. Manage and control implementation of changes without business interruption. Collaborating with other team members to design and deploy effective IT solutions.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field; 5 years of experience in IT and business/industry; 3 years of experience in SAP Basis ABAP and JAVA, SAP in an MS-SQL environment, Disaster Recovery, SAP administration of PI, and SAP Solution Manager, SAP Cloud Products (SuccessFactors, EC Payroll, etc); 1 year of experience in High Availability failover monitoring.
