MES Systems Analyst

Long Description

Position: Shop Floor (MES) Systems Analyst, Great Lakes Cheese Co. Inc., Abilene, TX.  

Duties: Provide leadership, support, enhancements, and project delivery, with daily interaction throughout all levels of the organization. Lead implementation of shop floor systems in a greenfield manufacturing plant. Provide support for shop floor systems and data integration to and from systems. Manage projects for improvements from minor enhancements through to site implementations. Gain understanding of manufacturing processes and apply this knowledge to existing and new systems solutions. Work cross functionally with Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations on a daily basis to identify, troubleshoot, and solve issues.  Troubleshoot reported problems affecting production in various technical platforms. Configure and support shop floor networks (Layer 2) in conjunction with network engineers. Develop and support Human Machine Interface (HMI) applications. 20% national travel.

Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; 5 years of experience with shop floor systems; 3 years of experience with WonderWare or Intouch solutions; 3 years of experience with remote desktop & ThinManager; and 3 years of experience with PLC Ladder Logic (AllenBradley).
