Job Overview

The Logistics Analyst will support adequate warehouse capacity, third party warehouse performance, warehouse cost analysis, and overall efficiency and improvement opportunities across the GLC warehouse network.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the justification, selection, and performance oversight of third party warehouse relationships. 
  • Work with demand planning and Supply Chain analytics to assure the GLC warehouses have ample warehouse capacity to support manufacturing and distribution requirements.
  • Support warehouse operational issue resolution through cross functional collaboration. 
  • Support and lead projects supporting internal warehouse improvements. 
  • Support and lead projects supporting warehouse transitions (start-ups and exits). 
  • Provide monthly updates and root cause analysis on warehouse cost performance for the network. 
  • Maintain and report on warehouse performance, safety and efficiency metrics. 
  • Support warehouse construction and expansion projects by supporting analytical work on facility sizing, layout, equipment needs and staffing. 
  • Work with IT to develop reports and data gathering methods to measure warehouse productivity and effectiveness.  
  • Travel up to 10%.

  • Other duties as assigned by the manager.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution. 
  • Minimum of 2 years warehouse or warehouse analytical experience.
  • Familiar with Supply Chain and Logistics processes. 
  • Strong math aptitude and quantitative problem solving approach.  
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite ability including: Excel and PowerPoint. 
  • Must be legally authorized to work for a company in the U.S. without sponsorship. 

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field. 
  • Business reporting/data gathering software experience. 
  • Quantitative Excel modeling experience. 
  • Project management skills and experience.
  • SAP experience.
  • Ability to frame opportunities in a clear, concise and logical manner.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, troubleshoot, problem solve and meet deadlines.  

Working Conditions

• Occasional exposure to industrial operations including: temperature extremes from approximately 35ºF to 100ºF; noise levels in excess of 85 dB; moisture and moving machinery.
• Work is performed in an office setting.
