Job Overview

The Lead Analyst, Procurement Operations is a detail-oriented and analytical person with experience in Procurement and Projects. Responsibilities include executing inventory management and procurement strategies, purchase order creation and monitoring, and day to day support of operations and continuous improvement. The position will assist in Project Management of various Resale Projects and work as a backup to the Resale & Projects Manager. This role will create & maintain KPI and metrics reporting, and analyze and understand deviation and recommend improvement opportunities. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the purchasing and inventory management of resale items for all GLC facilities to ensure effective fulfillment of customer orders.
  • Analyze inventory levels versus forecast to ensure product availability.
  • Work closely with vendors, demand planning, and supply chain to ensure timely delivery of quality products and provide efficient communication to support needs.
  • Conduct analysis to quantify the financial impact of strategic supply chain decisions and modeling of flows, inventory levels, distribution, and transportation to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Manage related KPI to measure, control and benchmark procurement processes including cost tracking.
  • Proactively manage on-time performance, inventory and quality with vendors.
  • Develop and maintain the supplier scorecards.
  • Oversee the maintenance of material price lists and document/communicate adjustments.
  • Assist with the development & implementation of process changes and improvements within the department.
  • Assist projects relating to resale business development and sourcing.
  • Collaborate with the cross functional departments to support strategic project management and new product launches.
  • Act as a point of contact for all project resources for requests for project documentation.
  • Effectively liaise with other project resources (both internal and external) to ensure alignment across all project aspects
  • Assist in defining project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with Resale & Project manager and stakeholders.
  • Support the development of detailed project plans and timelines to ensure timely delivery
  • Help manage project resources, including scheduling meetings, coordinating tasks, taking meeting minutes and tracking progress.
  • Monitor project performance and provide regular updates to senior management and team members.
  • Identify and resolve project issues, risks, and roadblocks under the guidance of Resale & Project manager.
  • Ensure proper documentation is maintained, including project reports, budgets, and schedules.
  • Work closely with Manager of Resale and Projects, stakeholders, and team members to ensure alignment on project objectives.
  • Generate and distribute project metrics as defined by the Procurement Leaders

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain or related field.
  • 5+ years of supply chain experience in purchasing, planning, or logistics.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and mathematical skills.
  • Advanced Excel and MS Office experience.
  • Self-starter, driven individual focused on continuous improvement.
  • Team oriented approach.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Project management skills.
  • SAP 

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Manufacturing company experience
  • Food industry experience

Working Conditions

• Work is performed in an office setting.
• Occasional exposure to industrial operations including: temperature extremes from approximately 35ºF to 100ºF; noise levels in excess of 85 dB; moisture and moving machinery.
• Travel up to 15%
