Inventory Control and Claim Specialist

Job Overview

The Inventory Control and Claim Specialist will be responsible for tracking inventory, costs, and performance data at 3rd party warehouses used by GLC.

Job Responsibilities

• Inventory reconciliation of all inventory in 3rd party warehouses.
• Invoice validation and approval for inventory stored in 3rd party warehouses.
• Track in and out movement and total inventory stored in 3rd party warehouses.
• Track and report monthly cost associated with 3rd party warehouses.
• Document all pricing associated with 3rd party warehouses.
• Process all warehouse claims with 3rd party warehouses.
• Monitor status of transportation claims and provide summary data.  
• Monitor and maintain Key Performance Indicator data for internal and 3rd party warehouses to support identification of improvement opportunities.  
• Manage any CHEP pallet imbalances and issues including ordering.
• Coordinate any quality audits for existing or new 3rd party warehouses.
• All GLC employees are expected to perform any assignment or job task according to the stated safety policies and procedures. 
• All GLC employees are expected to produce our products in a manner that exceeds the quality and value expectation of our customers and consumers by adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, Policies and Procedures outlined in our Safe Quality Food Program. 
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the manager. 

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree with business emphasis or 4 years of business experience. . 
• In-depth understanding of Supply Chain processes and related issues.
• Proficient with Microsoft office with an emphasis on Excel
• Data mining experience
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills 
• Ability to make sound, independent decisions based on functional expertise and experience.
• Ability to administer a proactive approach. 
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, troubleshoot and problem solve.

Preferred Education and Experience

• BA in Supply Chain Management.

• 2 years of supply chain experience or more

Working Conditions

• Work is performed in an office setting.
• Occasional exposure to industrial operations including: temperature extremes from approximately 35ºF to 100ºF; noise levels in excess of 85 dB; moisture and moving machinery.
