IT Intern

Job Overview

The Information Security internship is designed to enable learning and personal development for those that have a passion to pursue a career in Information Technology with a focus on Cybersecurity. You will work with across multiple disciplines within IT; business applications, shop floor applications, business intelligence; infrastructure; and cyber-security, to apply your knowledge and gain exposure and experience across a broad scope. This position is a paid internship.

Job Responsibilities

• IT & Cyber Security Frameworks.
• GLC’s data security program covering such topics as email and unstructured data management.
• Supporting the creation of or updating systems documentation.
• Information security policies and standards, procedures, and other documentation related to information security capabilities.
• Metrics and dashboards used to demonstrate the effectiveness of security controls and security operations.
• Threat Hunting and Threat Intelligence Activities.
• Industry and technology threats used to guide security decision-making.
• Microsoft Active Directory & appropriate user access control.
• SAP BASIS administration and BASIS Security.
• Industrial networking risk management and security controls.
• Shop floor MES system security and operation.
• Balancing cyber-risk mitigation with other objectives, such as cost and performance.

Required Education and Experience

• Actively pursuing an associate or bachelor's degree with a related field of study (e.g., Computer Science, Cyber-Security).
• Knowledge of basic cyber security concepts.
• Sustained excellence in academic performance.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Solid oral, written and interpersonal skills resulting in the ability to interact with all levels within the organization.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Problem solving skills.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication, presentation, and team skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Self-motivated with a high level of initiative, able to work well independently.
