Job Overview

This HR rotational opportunity works across assignments, typically in multiple functional areas. A candidate in this role will experience both on-the-job / hands-on experience as well as leadership training while contributing towards real value-added work. As you learn more, you'll also potenitally experience generalist HR work, communities of expertise in HR and opportunities in learning, wellness, benefits, development, recruiting and more.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide support for current and future wellness events at the Hiram Campus as well as the full GLC network including in-person workshops, health fairs, and site-specific initiatives
  • Assist in the planning, development, and implementation of wellness programming including communications, presentations, and virtual webinars
  • Contribute content for regular communications distributed to employees through various formats
  • Facilitate in-person and virtual presentations in front of audiences across the company
  • Champion wellness events for all GLC locations
  • Have a passion for helping others achieve health and wellness goals
  • Assist in the development a comprehensive wellness program for GLC, potentially using a points-for-incentives model
  • Assist in the running of GLC’s tobacco cessation program
  • Provide assistance as needed in the day-to-day operations of the GLC Wellness Center, including the onsite health clinic and fitness center
  • Work with onsite nurse practitioner and fitness manager on the promotion of wellness programs
  • Create a gym membership program for all GLC employees not located in Hiram
  • Development and implementation of a financial wellness and awareness program for GLC
  • Plan Biometric and other Health screenings as well as flu shots annually
  • Other wellness initiatives as assigned

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Must be legally authorized to work for a company in the U.S. without sponsorship. 

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Experience building and administering wellness programs
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good time management skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment and establish relationships
  • Strong ability to learn and utilize different systems and programs
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills

Working Conditions

• While the majority of the tasks will be conducted on first shift, candidates must be prepared to provide support on all shifts, particularly for training-related items.
• Work is performed in an office setting.
