Job Overview
The HR Generalist, Corporate will assist the HR Business Partner in the administration and strategic support of HR processes, procedures, and systems. This role serves as a vital resource to employees and management, providing expertise across multiple HR functions, including employee relations, performance management, and HRIS administration.
Job Responsibilities
- Address employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, procedures, and programs providing clear and accurate guidance.
- Responsible for managing mid-level employee relations and workplace issues including but not limited to counseling, coaching, and corrective actions.
- Investigate and resolve employee concerns or complaints in a professional and confidential manner.
- Serve as a liaison between management and employees, promoting positive employee relations.
- Monitor compliance with labor laws and regulations, updating HR policies and reporting as needed.
- Manage the administration of leave of absences including but not limited to FMLA, STD, and Parental Leave.
- Coordinate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and align with business objectives.
- Facilitate off-boarding processes.
- Scan and maintain employee records to Open Text.
- Assist in maintaining and updating the HRIS system to ensure accurate employee data.
- Prepare and analyze HR reports (e.g., turnover, headcount, and performance metrics) to support organizational decision-making.
- Coordinate and facilitate a variety of employee meetings and engagement events: summer gathering, holiday gift giving, and ESOP meeting.
- Assist HR Business Partner with strategic projects.
- Ability to review/update/have access to employment information of employees in the organization. The expectation is that all employees in HR will not disclose such information and maintain confidentiality.
- All GLC employees are expected to perform any assignment or job task according to the stated safety policies and procedures.

- Other responsibilities as assigned by the manager.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management or a related field.
- 2 years of HR experience or more.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to make sound, independent decisions based on management expertise and experience.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, troubleshoot and problem solve.
- Familiar with HR policies and procedures (employment law, FMLA, etc.)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and high levels of professionalism.
Preferred Education and Experience
- 2-4 years of experience preferred.
- HRIS experience, preferably SAP SuccessFactors, Kronos
- HR Certification (SHRM or PHR)
Working Conditions
• Occasional exposure to industrial operations including: temperature extremes from approximately 35ºF to 100ºF; noise levels in excess of 85 dB; moisture and moving machinery.
• Work is performed in an office setting.
