Job Overview
This position will focus on System Databases with frequent user interaction. Responsibilities include application and database development, analyzing and troubleshooting system related issues, providing system support; maintaining database backup plans to ensure restore capabilities\disaster recovery, prepare data for analytical and\or operational use and develop data integration strategies and ensure the successful implementation of those strategies. This is a hands on role that will require frequent technical interaction with applications and database.
Job Responsibilities
- Support organizational data strategy that is in line with business processes.
- Integrating technical functionality, ensuring data accessibility, accuracy and security.
- Create and maintain database backup/restore plans.
- Contribute to and maintain database resiliency and high availability solutions.
- Analysis and organization of raw data.
- Apply data science techniques to data sets.
- Improve data quality and efficiency.
- Development of reports as required by the business, from idea through completion.
- Ability to rapidly gain and apply knowledge of GLC manufacturing processes.
- Understand SDLC’s and change management
- Define functional requirements for manufacturing systems with GLC automation control specialists.
- Work with Maintenance and Operations on a daily basis to solve issues
- Proactively monitor shop floor systems and address system issue to ensure maximum system uptime.

- Willingness to travel up to 10%.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the manager.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science Management Information Systems, related of field study, OR 2 years’ experience in a related field.
- MS SQL Server (SSRS, SSAS, and SSIS, queries, stored procedures, views).
- Strong analytical and written/verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter, curious, and inquisitive.
- Basic understanding of network design and network hardware.
- Ability to work in both office and production settings.
- Able to work in the US now or in the future without corporate sponsorship.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Aveva/Wonderware MES experience.
- Rockwell FactoryTalk suite of products.
- Basic knowledge of PLC Ladder Logic.
- Experience creating Human Machine Interface (HMI) applications.
- Data Engineering.
- Data Architecture Modeling.
- AI/Machine Learning use and comprehension.
- Experience with data integration between systems Infinity QS.
- Experience with Ider.
