Job Overview

The Customer Service intern is the support staff between the customer, the company and cross-functional teams in performing all general execution of customer support and supply chain functions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support a positive business relationship with the customer and cross-functional teams.
  • Behind the scenes account management execution for customer support.
  • Departmental Project support in collaboration with all Supply Chain teams (Supply Chain Operations, Customer service, Transportation, Supply Chain planning and Master data) on open projects and execution.
  • Support the Supply Chain teams to coordinate and enhance training programs and process documentation.
  • Assist Customer Service with logging, tracking and resolution of consumer and/or customer quality complaints.
  • Work cross-functionally with Production, Shipping, Transportation, Procurement and Supply Chain to coordinate customer needs.
  • All GLC employees are expected to perform any assignment or job task according to the stated safety policies and procedures.
  • All GLC employees are expected to produce our products in a manner that exceeds the quality and value expectations of our customers and consumers by adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, Policies and
  • Procedures outlined in our Safe Quality Food Program.
  • Other responsibilities assigned by the manager.

Required Education and Experience

  • Students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Marketing or a related field.
  • Strong communication skills with varied audiences and situations both externally and internally.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, is detail oriented and practices good follow-through.
  • Ability to convey positive approach to most situations, accept responsibility, navigate constructive input.
  • Emits pleasant, helpful and professional demeanor; develops relationships easily.
  • Must be legally authorized to work for a company in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office and integrated systems.
  • Must have at least a 3.0 GPA.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Knowledge of SAP and Business Objects preferred. 

Working Conditions

• Work is performed in an office setting.
• Occasional exposure to industrial operations including: temperature extremes from approximately 35ºF to 100ºF; noise levels in excess of 85 dB; moisture and moving machinery.
