Job Overview
The Customer Service intern is the support staff between the customer, the company and cross-functional teams in performing all general execution of customer support and supply chain functions.
Job Responsibilities
- Support a positive business relationship with the customer and cross-functional teams.
- Behind the scenes account management execution for customer support.
- Departmental Project support in collaboration with all Supply Chain teams (Supply Chain Operations, Customer service, Transportation, Supply Chain planning and Master data) on open projects and execution.
- Support the Supply Chain teams to coordinate and enhance training programs and process documentation.
- Assist Customer Service with logging, tracking and resolution of consumer and/or customer quality complaints.
- Work cross-functionally with Production, Shipping, Transportation, Procurement and Supply Chain to coordinate customer needs.
- All GLC employees are expected to perform any assignment or job task according to the stated safety policies and procedures.
- All GLC employees are expected to produce our products in a manner that exceeds the quality and value expectations of our customers and consumers by adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, Policies and
- Procedures outlined in our Safe Quality Food Program.
- Other responsibilities assigned by the manager.
Required Education and Experience
- Students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Marketing or a related field.
- Strong communication skills with varied audiences and situations both externally and internally.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, is detail oriented and practices good follow-through.
- Ability to convey positive approach to most situations, accept responsibility, navigate constructive input.
- Emits pleasant, helpful and professional demeanor; develops relationships easily.
- Must be legally authorized to work for a company in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Experience in Microsoft Office and integrated systems.
- Must have at least a 3.0 GPA.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Knowledge of SAP and Business Objects preferred.
Working Conditions
• Work is performed in an office setting.
• Occasional exposure to industrial operations including: temperature extremes from approximately 35ºF to 100ºF; noise levels in excess of 85 dB; moisture and moving machinery.
